 Principal Responsibilities:

  • Support sales efforts and initiatives.
  • Support production and operational efforts and initiatives.
  • Foster organizational improvement through the development and implementation of continuous-improvement and quality-assurance solutions.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Develop electrical and system-layout prints per customer specifications.
  • Provide component- and system-level commissioning and programming services as required.
  • Provide hardware selection and migration support to customers, both internal and external.
  • Interpret customer requirements, identify and address design parameters and engineering problems and ensure all solutions are implemented properly.
  • Provide high-quality pre-sales, design-in and post-sales technical assistance to customers.
  • Understand competitive and/or cost-sensitive situations and prepare alternative solutions.
  • Assist in performing machine maintenance as required.
  • Assist in the integration of new production machinery and equipment.
  • Foster quality-assurance initiatives and value-added services by actively seeking out new opportunities and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Encourage involvement and engage stakeholders in all improvement initiatives and projects.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • College degree in automation/controls discipline or equivalent in education and experience.
  • 3+ years' experience electrical industry experience.
  • Prior production (manufacturing), OEM or panel shop experience a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to develop electrical prints using AutoCAD.
  • Experience commissioning, programming and troubleshooting broad range of automation-related hardware including PLCs, VFDs, EOIs, transmitters, and panel displays.
  • Ability to manage projects.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving abilities
